August 27, 2007 In an ongoing effort to improve eIRB, the new application has been updated and will continue to be updated on a quarterly basis, if applicable. The current application updates include the following: - The Consent and Waivers page now includes checkboxes for studies involving survey questionnaire research and in vitro diagnostics.
- The Waiver or Alteration of Consent page on the previous application has been eliminated. Instead, information is collected within a text box that appears when Consent Waiver is selected on the Consent and Waivers page.
- The human biological samples selection from Question 9.0 on the Sample Size and Source page has been removed and placed on the Human Biological Samples page as a required question.
- Questions 2.0 and 3.0 from the Conflict of Interest page have been deleted and a new question has been added to identify the conflicted study team member.
- The Medstar Facilities selections on the Study Location page have been alphabetized.
- Manufacturer Name Information is now asked on the Drug and Device drill-downs screens.
