| Withdraw Tutorial Only the PI or the eIRB account holder may request an eIRB account withdrawal. Contact jhmeirb@jhmi.edu with written notification that a study team member is no longer working at Johns Hopkins and request an eIRB account withdrawal. The PI must submit a Further Study Action to remove him/her as a study team member from each study. The IRB cannot remove people from a study. From the application Summary View: Only the PI may withdraw an application. Prior to submission when the application is in the Researcher Prep state, click “PI Withdraw Study” in the Current New Application Activities section of the Left Navigation Bar. This will open the Withdraw window. Click “OK.” This will delete the application from eIRB. It cannot be viewed or reactivated. If you wish to pursue this study in the future a new eIRB application must be created and resubmitted for IRB review. Only the Principal Investigator may request to withdraw an eIRB application that has been submitted to the IRB. Click “Request Withdraw” in the Current New Application Activities section of the Left Navigation Bar. This allows you to request the withdrawal of an application through eIRB, rather than sending a separate email to the eIRB Help Desk. Completing this activity sends an email notification to the IRB office to consider the request. You will receive an email confirming the withdrawal. At this time the application will move to the Inactive Studies tab on the study team workspace of your home screen. It will be read-only, giving you access to all of the information and uploaded documents. The application cannot be reactivated. If you wish to pursue this study in the future a new eIRB application must be created and resubmitted for IRB review. Only the Principal Investigator may withdraw an eIRB Further Study Action. The PI should email jhmeirb@jhmi.edu with a request for withdrawal that includes the study name, number, committee assignment, and reason for withdrawal. You will receive an email confirming the withdrawal. If you wish to pursue this FSA in the future a new FSA must be created and resubmitted for IRB review. |
