Request Extension Tutorial When more time is needed to respond to the IRB for studies that have been returned as Incomplete and have not yet been reviewed by an IRB Committee, a "Request Extension" activity has been created. It is located under "Current New Application Activities" on the Left Navigation Bar of the Summary View for the study. Once you click "OK" to complete this activity, you will be automatically granted a 60 day extension in order to respond to the IRB. There is no longer a need to contact the IRB staff. The extension request will be recorded in the History Log. This activity is only available for those studies that have not yet been placed on an IRB agenda or reviewed by an IRB Committee. Contact the IRB staff at 410-955-3008 for any other extension requests. |
