HIPAA and Research course

Starting 9/28/2007, investigators and study team members who have not taken the HIPAA Privacy Issues Relating to Research (IRR) course will be required to take a new HIPAA and Research course, available online at http://www.jhminteractive.com/INT/.  The IRR course will no longer be available after 9/28. The General Privacy Issues (GPI) course is a pre-requisite to the HIPAA and Research course and is available online at https://secure.lwservers.net/default.cfm.

Any new Hopkins affiliated investigator or study team member listed on a protocol submitted to the JHM IRB must have completed the following courses:

• JHU SOM Human Subjects Research (HSR) available online at https://secure.lwservers.net/default.cfm
  
• JHU SOM Conflict of Interest and Commitment (COI) available online at: https://secure.lwservers.net/default.cfm.
  
• Johns Hopkins HIPAA General Privacy Issues (GPI) available online at: https://secure.lwservers.net/default.cfm.
  
• HIPAA and Research available online at: http://www.jhminteractive.com/INT/
