Effective January 1, 2007, new applications may not be submitted to WIRB. All new applications must be submitted to the JHM IRBs using the eIRB system.

JHU SOM will continue its contractual relationship with WIRB, as WIRB will continue to review amendments, change in investigators, continuing review applications, etc. for studies originally approved by WIRB.

WIRB will continue to bill the sponsor for review fees unless other billing arrangements have been arranged with and agreed upon by the JHM OHSR. WIRB review fees for federally funded studies already approved by WIRB for JHU sites will continue to be billed to the JHU OHSR/IRB.
