School of Nursing Policy on Departmental Signature for New IRB Submissions

The School of Nursing currently requires an internal peer review for all research proposals prior to their submission for external funding.   We also strongly encourage internal peer review of all research proposals submitted for internal funding.  These proposals are reviewed by a standing Scientific Review Committee appointed by the Associate Dean for Research.  We do not require department level signatures on new IRB applications from the School of Nursing.
